here's the first of 739 answers you'll get
(don't open suspicious packages for a couple of weeks either)

Remove the fliter all the time except when you want either an effect from 
the filter or NEED protection - like maybe a Saharan duststorm.

Especially shooting into the light and/or with light sources in the frame.
