It does a fine job giving a gray tint to skies that would otherwise appear white (and do, when I forget to mount the filter). And this is a gray that darkens as it rises away from the horizon, at times creating the effect of a dark yellow or even orange filter toward the zenith.<< When I first saw what an 060 did I was...envious. I immediately bought one. Never use a yellow anymore. The 060 pretty much stays on my lens all the time when shooting b/w, unless I'm in low light. Must be careful, though. It tends to accentuate blemishes and maybe wrinkles a bit in people. Dave
