Oo, sweet! Anyone know how many were made and what they trade for today?

I have one at home too. I bought it when I was an adjunct at CUNY for $100
from one of my students. He just wanted it out of his apartment and I knew I
would want it one day. Now, I think I have heard people paying as much as
$1000 for them as "collectors" items! Who knew...well I take that back, I
guess it was kind of obvious...

I still have my 512K Mac, my first Mac in fact, after I sold my Apple IIe to
finance it. Talking of price points, just today I received my new
"soon-to-be" mail server. It is a G4 450mhz Minitower. Refurbished by Apple,
sold to me by Small Dog, for a grand total of $1099! I think this is the
lowest price I have paid out of the 20 or 30 Macs that I have purchased under
various capacities. It is also one of the most stable machines they have made
by my recent experiences.

It will share a monitor via switch box with my listserver...so how is THAT
for lowering the price point on these babies. (I paid about $5000 last year
for nearly the same machine.)

Bring on OSX! My Web* server can only last sooo long...<ggg>

cheers,
Rich
