If you reply to a spammer asking to be removed from the list, they add your address to a "this sucker actually read our spam" superlist that can be sold for about 10 times as much money. The very worst thing you can possibly do with spam is to let the spammer know you received it. (snip)====================================================================== Sorry, Brian, that wasn't what I meant. I should have said: "The administrator and members of the Olympus list steadfastly ignored all exhortations to reply to the spam" i.e. they ignored the spam. My use of the passive case instead of the active case caused confusion and I should have known better. This is the kind of thing up with which the LUG should not put! I will graciously accept all flames on this subject :-) Regards, ===== Ray "The trouble with resisting temptation is you never know when you'll get another chance!" __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
