Pete, the 35/1,4 Asph. does "stick" in to the lower right hand corner more
than the 35/2 Asph. The hood has the cut-out in it and it does help. It is
far less obtrusive than the 28/2 hood or the 21/24 hood. In short, go for it!
The 35/1,4 is a benchmark lens and although a bit of a handful, it will do
remarkable things wide-open. One of these days I am going to take
weightlifting classes and prepare myself for a week shooting only with the
0,58/35/1,4 Asph, the 0,72/50/1 and the 0,85/75/1,4. It is one of those
combinations where you have to keep moving as otherwise the side-walk will
show indentations where you stood still!
