The fanny pack (bum bag for the Brits) that I bought to take to Kenya has a 
steel wire enclosed in the leather waist strap.  It's supposed to be 
theft-proof and I could put an M6 and lens in there (barely).  I got it 
from TravelSmith.  Luckily, no one tried to steal anything in Kenya so I 
haven't had a chance to test it.
