Dear Jay,
My Leica M6 TTL Booklet printed in Germany 10/98 states:
Summilux Asph 35/F1.4 310gms
Summilux Asph 35/F1.4 Silver chrome 415gms
Summilux Asph 35/F1.4 Titanium 415gms
Summicron Asph 35/F2.0 255 gms
Summicron Asph 35/F2.0 Silver chrome 340 gms

Perhaps some quality control in proof reading at Leica is needed? :) Perhaps
the weights you are quoting are for the non Asph version of the 35
summicron?
Cheers
Howard.
