Nope -- you can pick up a new Cosina/Voigtländer 25mm f/4 Skopar for under
$350. Great lens, very sharp -- and that price *includes* the 25mm
accessory viewfinder. And you should be able to find a secondhand Leica
35mm f/2.8 or 35mm f/3.5 Summaron in user condition for around $400. Or,
get a Russian Jupiter-12 (35mm f/2.8) and an LTM to M adapter ($80 --
probably what you'll pay for the lens! ;)

For a bit more money, you can find what many consider to be the best version
of the 35mm f/2 Summicron for under $800 used in mint- condition (the
version before the ASPH). Or, if you really want to splash, you should be
able to pick up the 35mm f/1.4 Summilux-M (not the ASPH) for around
$1000-$1200 used.

All well under $2k.

M.
