The January 2001 issue of _Vanity Fair_ includes a feature called
"Shooting Past 80: Photography's Grand Masters (page 116). It profiles
several photographers who are 80 years or older (Phil Stern, 81; Arnold
Newman, 82; HCB, 92; Yousuf Karsh, 91, Eve Arnold, 87, et al). I
checked the VF web site, but didn't find any evidence that this piece is
available online. The fun thing is that VF hired HCB to shoot some of
the portraits of his peers. Thus, there are new HCB photos here; HCB
took the shots of Willy Ronis, Helmut Newton, and Eve Arnold. HCB on his
technique when asked about the shots (p.28). "There is no need to play
cello on a little tune that I just whistled." He added, "La vanite nest
pas une bonne affaire."

Note the the Editor's Letter on page 26, which discusses this feature.

Happy New Year folks.
