I bought a Jupiter 50mm f1.5 for my IIIa and found it would not fit all the way. I checked it on a IIIc and a IIIf and it mounted all the way with no problem. A few weeks later without recall of the problem, I went to install the lens on my IIIa again and it fit easily. I don't know how this happened. My Industar, a f3.5 Elmar clone, does not fit on my IIIa. The lever for focusing interferes with the viewfinder.
