And as luck would have it I found a second hood which goes to Dante A Stella for his LTM 50mm 1.4 Nikkor. That's all folks! Thanks to all who responded. Robert Browne - ----- Original Message ----- From: rbrowne@iopener.net To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] Free Lens Hood Date: Tue, 19 Dec 2000 22:11:21 -0500 In the spirit of the season - Christmas, Chanukkah, Kwanzaa - I am offering one free NIB Hoya 43mm vented lens hood to the members of the LUG. It a is new in box, never used, 43mm screw thread, black metal hood. It is parallel sided measuring 17mm deep and 56mm in diameter. The vented design makes it perfect for Leicas. Among the lenses it will fit are some of the earlier 50mm 1.4 Summilux lenses (I think) and the new Voigtlander 35mm 2.5 pancake lens. I have used one on a 50mm 1.4 Nikkor and 35mm 2.5 Nikkor on a Nikon S2 to good effect. I had the good fortune to find a few of these, and have one more than I can use. Free? OK, so what's the catch you ask. Two things. First, you must actually use it on a lens you own. If you don't really need it, please do not respond. Second, the lucky recipient agrees to donate to the charity of their choice what they think the lens hood is worth to them. You decide. The first Lugger who e-mails me directly, off list, with their request gets it. I will make arrangements to get to to you. As I will be away from Dec 21 -Jan 1, my response may be delayed. Seasons Greetings To All, Robert Browne
