An accessory which help a lot when using the APO-VARIO
70-180/2,8 handheld, is the little Leica rubberized Handgrip
(#14 282) specially made for it and for lenses like the APO
180/2 and APO 280/4.

It's much like the handgrip sold together with the 2
previous versions of the APO 280/2,8 (#11 245 and 11 263)
(pre APO-MODUL).
