At 1/15s or 1/30s is where you have the shift to the slow speed mechanism inside the Ms. The sound is a characteristic "bounce" or "echo" that lasts a little longer than the exposure. Other mechanical cameras such as the Voigtländer Bessas and the Nikon FM2n have a different mechanism and do not sound the same. Compare your M2 to another M2, or to another M camera.
