I saw results from several new top of the line, pro, semi-pro > digital cameras and I predict one thing....... Film is dying, if not yet dead, Wincing at the thought of my expensive film gear becoming paperweights, I have to admit that I agree with your assessment of current digital quality. What causes much concern for me, though, is that all digital mediums are so delicately dependent upon electrical current, and archiving is so sensitive to complete oblivion in an instant. I've had enough loss and disappointment with digitized-computerized data already. It would be nice to have something 'real', something tactile to pass to the next generation.
