[ snip / Noctilux thread ]
Have you ever run into a situation where
a one stop difference in shutter speed has
made the difference between an acceptably sharp subject
(say a person engaged in converstation)
and an unnacceptably blurry one?

	--> Simon,
You must also take account of the fact
that at f/1, the depth of field at close ranges
measures in rather short inches ...
		AND of the CREATIVE POTENTIAL
of this lens as medium, not just as a vile means to an end.

COLOR RENDITION at f/1 is such
that it is beyond reproach by general consensus,
	worlwide.
Try it yourself with a few rolls of Fuji
NHG II 800 (color neg), try some at ISO 1600,
a "clean" one stop push: That aspect of the lens,
	professional Low Exposure Value Photography,
definitely adds to Noctilux product envy.

		Could you see yourself re-equipped
with a LEICA Noctilux ? Start visualizing !
