The Contax G viewfinder is something you either love or hate. I had
heard great things about the G, but the first time I picked one up and
looked through the viewfinder, I said to myself, "Oh--oh. This thing is
one feature worse than an SLR."

To me, the primary attraction of a rangefinder camera is the ability to
see what is _outside_ the frame, as well as what's inside. As compared
to the viewfinders of a Leica or an SLR, the Contax G offers the worst
of both worlds.
