Duane,

I had an R7 for a few months, and I now have an SL and R8. In my view, the
finders on the SL and R8 are superior to the R7. I cannot comment on the R6.2.

My standard lens on the R8 is the 4/35-70mm and the viewfinder is plenty bright.
