Have you considered making these and selling them?  I think there'd be a
market.  I've often had reason to think that the shutter speed dial on the
M6s could be easier to grip, especially on the M2-M4.  The M6 (old style) is
better because of the knurling, but the 4mm spacer sounds like a really good
idea to me.
