If you are using IE, here is how to get the URL.
First make sure that the Address bar is showing. It is a long thin
white rectangle near the top that says "Address" in front of it. If it
is not showing, go to
	View->Toolbars
and make sure that the "Address bar" line is checked.

It will be there unless you have gone out of yoru way to turn it off.

Go to the page that you want. Put the cursor in the address bar and
click once. If it doesn't turn dark blue, wait 1 second and click
again. Keep doing this (at 1 second intervals) until it turns dark
blue. If it doesn't turn dark blue after 3 clicks, something is wrong.
Normally it will just happen the first time.

Now go to to the Edit menu and select Copy.

This puts the URL into the "copy" eyedropper. Now go to the place where
you need to put the URL, click the cursor there once, and then go to
the Edit menu and select Paste.

Bingo.

There are keyboard shortcuts for most of these steps, but they are more
complicated to explain.
