The same site gives broadly similar figures for writers and editors.
However, according to the Writers Guild of America site, the average
screenwriter earns around $80k. That INCLUDES the guy waiting your table at
Spago who once sold a script about his buddy who got abducted by aliens but
hasn't made anything for ten years. He's the guy who votes the WGA go on
strike, by the way...
