I was lucky enough to meet him a couple weeks ago; he had just completed two huge heads of Al Gore to auction off for the Democratic National Committee.  Unbelievably sweet guy.

He used to use a variety of painting techniques -- he considers himself a conceptual artist, not a portrait painter -- but ever since an accident confined him to a wheelchair, he has
relied on a huge Polaroid camera.  Not sure the exact size, except that it's monstrous.
