One thing to note about the new Nova B&W processors - they have a single red cover to shut all the 3 slots instead of the more airtight individual rollers in the higher end models. In practice, this is not terribly airtight and thus does not allow the chemicals to keep for weeks. I would say a week or two at most (in the tropics). Second thing to note is that the slots are transparent. This means light gets in and helps to accelerate the deterioration of the developer. It might be prudent to cover the processor up with black plastic when not in use. If your darkroom has limited space, the Nova is a good investment. If space allows you to fit the three trays comfortably, forget the Nova. After a while, the need to monitor the state of the developer and replenish it will start to bug some of you. Dan K.
