Rick,
I just bought a new 75mm1.4 yesterday, so haven't yet had a chance to let it
see some action, but I'm looking forward to getting some results after this
weekend.
The cost of this lens is one of the biggest factors to consider, because you
can get a lot more for your money at the start of building your Leica kit.
My only initial impression on the lens with the M6 is that the 75
frame-lines are a bit of a pain being with the 50 frame-lines. However, same
with everything, I'm sure it just takes a bit of getting used to. I've been
told about the difficulty of focusing with such a narrow depth-of-field, but
again, I'm just going to practice, practice practice. It should help that I
have it on a M6 TTL .85.
If you do decide on this lens, it'll be interesting to compare notes.
At-the-end-of-the-day though, having spent this amount of money, the thing
better be fantastic!<g>
Matt.
