I cannot agree more with this. A small, solid, full mechanical SLR is a niche that Leica can most competently fill in the coming digital age as Swiss handmade watches do in the quartz age, IMHO. I hope Leica retains a legacy of that glorious craftmanship of Leicaflex Std/SL. > From what I have heard this is what Solms is working on, more or less. Yes, Leica told us that they are working on a smaller body at the Photokina meeting. But we do not know if it is full mechanical or not. I hope it will not be a Cosina body with the red dot.
