All new Leica lenses come with a hood, either built in (ugh!) or clip-on
(yeah!). If the used lens you buy has become separated from it's native
shade, new or used shades can almost always be purchased, often at
breathtaking prices. Which shade is best for which lens is a matter of
almost endless debate...plastic versus metal, square versus round, vented
versus un-vented, et cetera. I favor clip-on vented shades which break away
when bumped hard and don't collapse without notice. Please don't ask about
shades which take series filters! Others on the list swear by the
telescoping hoods, go figure.

I see some Leica M lenses having built-in lens hood. How about the lenses
without built-in lens hood such as 21, 35 and 50 F2.8 and ? Is the hood
included or I need to buy?

Thanks
