If you really want to dig, hit all the pawn shops (running north and south on Church st.) too - you'll never know what you can find with a little "rooting". You can always find a cloudy LTM 135 Hektor or two. I dug out a leather case for my M2 for the paltry sum of $5. Sure, it looks like crap, but hey... ALT's website really does suck. It's JavaScript hell. I thought it was my Powerbook, but nope. Toronto LUG'ers might be interested in the upcoming Photographic Fall Fair on October 15, 2000. Sure to be a fun event - in a flea market kinda way. The details are at: http://web.onramp.ca/phsc/fairs.html Last Sunday, friend of mine conned me into taking some pictures for her mothers fall garden party last Sunday - an outdoor affair (how can you say "no" to all you can eat cucumber sandwiches?), and my M2's vulcanite started to flake off in my hands. I common problem I realise. Trouble is, I'm off on my honeymoon starting Friday and I was planning on having my camera with me - - especially considering the fall colours are in full swing on Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. I'm not worried per se, but big chucks of body flaking off is a bit of an annoyance, particularly if I can get it corrected quickly. I gave Reinhold Mueller a call and asked if he could take a quick look at my camera - no problem - and he's going to patch it up and give it a once over for me. I dropped my camera off this afternoon and it will be ready on Thursday. But the best part - it turns out his shop is literally a 20 minute walk from my apartment. Fast service AND walking distance away. How's that for lucky ! In Reinhold's shop I saw a copy of Ted Grants book. What initially stuck me was the physical size of it. It's HUGE ! I hope to have a few minutes to thumb through it when I pick up my camera on Thursday. Looks like something that I'm wanting for my own bookcase. regards William
