It is, however, still very good. Erwin Puts evaluated it in comparison to the 24 Asph. for the M on his site: www.imx.nl -- worthwhile reading. My personal experience with the lens bears out the general wisdom. I do not own one though, I have only used it on occasion. Most R users use either the 28 or 19 or the older 21 instead of the 24. If it is you favorite focal length, buy it anyway. Hope this helps.
