Both are incredibly comfortable to carry with the harness system, practical to use and of high quality. The Nature Trekker is all-weather with a built-in rain hood that can be pulled out to cover the entire pack in the event of a torrential downpour. They don't have a separate top compartment but the inside partitions can be adjusted. I just use the outside pocket for umbrellas and light jackets etc. FYI, Lowepro has a website at www.lowepro.com. Good luck.
