For a quicker practical method - rather than keep walking back to a wedding group (but not so good for the brides dress)- so long as the meter held at arms length receives the same light as the subject you'll get a very similar result - certainly adequate for print film I'd like to say that I ought to do this for my M6 - but it's TTL and so far I've haven't found any subject that I can't trust the meter for (with a little bit of care for non 18% situations) - even worked in sunshine and rain in the alps with K64 Regards Clive Sanbrook
