In that vein, I have been using a Minolta 200x.  It has a GN of about 66 
(ft.), choice of 2 auto apertures (2.8 or 5.6 @100) and both low and full 
power fixed settings.  Low is, if I recall correctly, 1/4 power.  I find it 
useful for fill, with ISO 400 film.  I have found all Minolta units I have 
used to be very reliable, with consistent results from frame to frame.  They 
have a second terminal, which provides a "flash ready" signal in Leica reflex 
and the M6TTL finders.  Minolta makes several smaller units, as well.
The 200x can be found used, in mint condition, for $30 or less.  Too cheap, 
you say?  You bet!  With Leica, I'm putting the real money in lenses.  But if 
I find an SF 20 used, at a good price, I will probably buy it.
