[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]luggers, i just picked up a luna-pro digital meter, and am putting it through its paces. so far i'm very impressed with it; it's small, convenient, and very easy to use, all of which means i'll be toting it everywhere and getting a lot of use out of it. as straightforward as it is, however, i do have one question regarding the way the f-stops are displayed. on the left of the display window, the f-stops are displayed in big numbers, and indicated again below in a continuous f-stop scale that reads from left to right (1 1.4 2 2.8, etc); that is very clear. what is not clear is: what is the smaller number next to the larger f-stop numbers on the left-hand side (for example, f 5.6 6 or f 5.6 8)? when i get such readings, the continuous f-stop scale below may indicate the space between 5.6 and 8, and may even indicate 8, which seems confusing to me. a reading i just took indicated f 5.6 8 in the large numbers on the left of the display window, and 8 in the f-stop scale below. i'm assuming that when i get a reading of f 5.6 6, and on the scale below the space between 5.6 and 8 is indicated, that means proper exposure is the half-stop between those two apertures (right?). if that is true, what am i to make of the f 5.6 8 reading on top, while f 8 is indicated in the scale below? sorry for the ot question, but i know that many of you use this meter and i'm hoping you can help me out. thanks in advance. guy
