I made a decision several months ago: bmw or camera equipment. I want one thing that's the very best in its class, just because, and I opted to spend it on photography. Hence the Leica. And the old camry. :) Dan>> I made a similar decision and I am happy to report that since "that decision," two taxis have run into my (standing still) car...and none have run into my Leicas. ;-) Though owning a new car in NYC is like taking a new Leica out in a hard rain on the first day. I have found that the 1st generation Russian mechanics in my area of Brooklyn are absolute artists at keeping an old car alive. I think they could build Sputnik out of recycled cans if you gave them enough time. They tell me that a Caddy like mine would last 30 years in their homeland...sounds good to me! ;-> later, rich
