I can't resist dropping my longtime lurking status to add to B.D.
Colen's rules and hints for driving in Boston.

	1) Use the white line in the middle of the road to center your
car.
	2) At a four way stop, the rule is "I go first".
	3) There are no signs indicating the names of main streets; you
are expected to know where you are.
	4) Double parking on main streets during rush hour is routine,
triple parking is not so nice.
	5) My son once saw a sign that said " one way street- dead end".
	6) DO NOT rent a car at the airport. The artery project(the $10
billion hole) has made driving impossible. Last year I rented a car at
10PM on a Thursday night. I know the area, but still ended up driving in
circles for more than 30 minutes and had to go at least 10 miles out of my
way.
	7) You do need a car to get to one of the best Leica dealers - New
England Photo in Arlington.
To summarize, driving in Boston is for the weak hearted -DON'T DO
IT.
I learned to drive in Boston over 30 years ago and it is still a
real adrenaline kick.
