I use D-76 1:1 for developer.  I find when I develop %30 over (which is 
basically one stop), I find it gives me better tonal range on my prints.

Film scanners use a cold light too.  I wonder how it will like the %30 
over.  I haven't scanned any B&W negatives yet, but I just got some back 
that I'll try out...
