Tom If you are wanting to buy only one flash, the SF-20 is not it because it is not that powerful (guide number 20) and the head does not swivel for bounce flash. A more all around flash is the 40-MZ2 which is much heavier. I have both and use them for different things. Also, the SF-20 fits nicely on the M cameras, if you ever decide to go that route. Best, Jay
