it is worth noting that if a bubble even a gouge is not in a rectangle in
the lens correspoonding to the 1x1/2 inch film it is photographically
harmless. remmber the first 2lmm's taken from their rf buddies for the leica
sl, nikon f,contarex: they chopped off the whole top of the 4 element rear
componet to fit under the mirror. The lenses were unaffected and in general
had linear diaghrams instead of the original shrinking space between
f-stops.
