Subject: [Leica] Bubbling M6's

If I remember correctly, didn't the fellow with the bubbling finish on
his M6's shoot near or in a volcano in a tropical climate? Would not the
gases contain sulpher-dioxide and in combination
with moisture create sulphuric acid? Like acid rain that is created in
industrialized areas like
the old smoke stack- rust belt cities like Chicago, Cleveland,
Pittsburgh, etc...
 Just a thought.
