We were both six but he was the oldest - by almost a month. That is very important when you are six, to be the oldest. The friendship was hot and cold throughout grade school but started to settle down as we both got older and found out who we were and who we were gong to be. But just as the friendship started to become more solid we started to move on with our lives. Girls, college, jobs and all of the other things of life interfered and we lost touch with one another. I moved out of the area, and lost touch with a lot of my old friends. Not too many years ago I walked onto a room full of strangers, and I spied someone familiar. He was not familiar in face so much but he did have an M-6 around his neck and that was good enough for me. It was my old friend from so many years ago. The friendship started anew but this time it was more mature, I suppose in part because of all the wisdom we had pickup during our travels over the years. We had breakfast together a couple of months ago and I tried to get Mike and Louise to come to our island and spend a little time. Long time lurker on the LUG……. Sometime contributor….. Friend……..
