Let's go down to the McDonalds and watch the sheilas lean over the > microwave!) Yes Dan, and we have kangaroos hopping down Pitt St, too (although I don't think any of them carry Leicas!). Actually, there is a tax on certain beverages (usually the ones I wish to imbibe), however all good visitors and tourists coming to visit, and residents returning from Leica Educational Tours, are free to purchase a 'Duty-Free Allowance' which they may then consume in Olympic Land. The iniquitous tax on photographic equipment in this camera-loving country is about to be revised significantly downwards. Now all we have to do is figure a way to stop the value of our currency falling any further, which has also contributed to the relatively high cost of German made goodies like Leica and Rollei. Speaking of currency, this year it is VERY good value for all you folks to come visit Australia, as the Aussie dollar has shrunk to around USD0.60. Ross (Skippy-the-bush-kangaroo) McLeish
