The field curvature correction will of course help with other, plastic, mounts, but the result may not be entirely satisfactory. E.g. Gepe glassless mounts have a metal layer on each side of the slide, so the slide can stretch in the mount. And become less\curved in the process. Also, don't forget that, with a CF lens, the slide is really grossly out of focus before it pops! IMHO, a normal lens and the use of mounts, like Gepe or Wess, with one layer of glass of the side of the lamp, are preferable.
