I bought one on e bay from the estate of the deceased original owner. His grand
daughter needed the money. I t had been hanging in the closet unused since his
death in 1978. Camera was in mint- condition, box, ib, warranty card and import
certificate. Lo and behold, when I got it, it would not work. Granddaughter said
send it back but I really wanted the camera. It just needed a CLA from Leica and
she paid for that, some $300 and now I have a real jewel. Prices on e bay are
inflated and there are many caveats to guard against. One is, no return
privileges. I would not buy unless I could return, had talked with the seller
and knew the history of the camera .
