It's a Canadian Summicron 90.

It probably means that the serial number was re-used, perhaps because
the original lens was written off.

That's what using an * at the end of a serial number meant in the
classic days of Leitz, but I don't know when (if ever) the practice
was dropped.

An * at the end of the designation was sometimes used for prototypes.
The 5cm f2 Summitar* was a prototype Summicron.
