You need to substitute the normal M6 eyepiece for the metal M2 eyepiece.  I 
have done this on several M2's and an M5.  It helps to have the special tool 
to remove and install the eyepiece.  The M6 eyepiece can be ordered from 
Leica parts.  Call Dave Elwell, Parts Manager at Leica.  Cost should be 
somewhere just south of $100.
