The 12504 hood for the Summilux will accept a generic (i.e. cheap) 58mm lens
front cap like it was designed for it.  The kind with the two spring loaded
buttons on opposite sides.  That's what I use, and it's a snap (literally) to
get the lens into action or covered up.  Don't know about the 21, though, never
had one of them.
