I'm not sure whether the existing Noct >design could fit and clear the mirror. a) The existing Noctilux design would not clear the mirror. b) the necessary re-design of the lens, making it a retrofocus a la Canon would probably necessitate a larger rear element, although not necessarily. If you want a smaller rear element, other compromises will clamour to make themselves noticed. * Henning J.
