This should never be a problem, except that it can slow you down a bit. 
When you're properly focused on a vertical line parallel to other vertical 
lines, you can rotate the camera to vertical and the two images won't 
diverge. If they do, you know you're off by at least one line. Keep 
adjusting focus until you get no divergence when rotating the camera.
