I've recently gone from processing my Tmax 400 in a 1:1 solution of Xtol
to a 1:3 solution and like the change! I think acutance is agreeably
enhanced and gives the image a bit more sparkle: My brick walls and
pavements never looked so good! Developer capacity is a problem of
course, which is why Jobo makes the 2500-series of processing drums
which can rotary-processes using a lot more soup than the specified
minimum would seem to suggest--the 2-reeler #2521 is good for around 800
ml though so far I've only used this tank with the 4x5 reel--I'll pick
up rollfilm reels next time I'm at Denver Pro Photo.
