Take a wood stick (I use the butt end of a cotton applicator)

and push sideways on the red logo. Push the square cut end of the wood
against the "a" in Leica. Push hard at an angle as if you are trying to
slide the red dot to the side. Which is exactly what you are trying to do.
This breaks the glue grip, the dot starts to move, and you keep pushing
until it finally lets go enough so you can peel it off. If you slip, the
wood will not hurt your camera. You also haven't hurt the logo. The glue
stays with the red dot. You can replace it when finished doing whatever you
wanted to do.
