Actually down here, it is pronounced with three syllables- denoting its
importance in our southern lexicon...
i.e.- "shee-ya-it" The elongated invective is saved for really horrendous
occasions like dropping your Leica into a swamp during a 'coon hunt, or
jamming the threads of your favorite Hektor lens on your brassy pitted IIIc.
I am sure that a sweet southern Belle like Tina uttering the expletive in an
Honduran swamp coulda knocked any caimans senseless within earshot when her
Nocti hit the sludge!
