I've used two SB's on Leica M6 TTL's or classic and used the SB-24 in A and M
mode and the SB-23 in M mode so I can say the darn things work with no
detrimental effect. My guess Nikon is not asking too much juice through their
flash to fry cameras like Leica M6's.
I like the Metz flashes on Leica though for the design.
